Grade School

The Department

The Grade School Department aims to provide a holistic education for students, encompassing not just academic skills but also the development of important values and life skills. The objectives of the department are focused on four key areas: social, moral, and spiritual values; love for learning and effective study skills; physical and mental health; and compassion for the poor and suffering. Through a combination of academic instruction and practical experiences, the Grade School Department seeks to prepare students for success in all aspects of their lives, including their relationships with others, their personal health and well-being, and their ability to contribute to society in meaningful ways.

Objectives

  1. To develop basic social, moral, and spiritual values.
    1. Ability to work cooperatively with others in the home and in school.
    2. Obedience to parents, teachers and other persons in authority.
    3. Honesty and sincerity in speech and actions.
    4. Active participation in Eucharistic celebrations and other religious activities.
  2. To support love for learning and effective study skills.
    1. Mastery of basic skills in Science and Mathematics.
    2. Increased levels of reading comprehension skills.
    3. Confidence and proficiency in expressing one's self in English and Filipino.
    4. Self-reliance, critical thinking, and creativity in performing learning tasks.
  3. To promote good physical and mental health.
    1. Mindfulness on matters of food and nutrition, proper hygiene, and good grooming.
    2. Maintaining proper body mechanics in executing sports and physical fitness skills.
    3. Acceptance of changing conditions and learning from past experiences.
    4. Refinement in speech and manners in conducting one's self in any kind of gathering.
  4. To enhance compassion for the poor and suffering.
    1. Understanding of the meaning of life as shown through habits of simplicity, industry, and thrift.
    2. Generosity in giving help to the needy.
    3. Respect for the dignity of persons especially the handicapped and the disadvantaged.
    4. Active participation in campaigns for the care and protection of the environment.
